Unfortunately as most of you know by now, most good games are not free. You can actually board enemy ships and attack them with various weapons, you can become captain of your own ship and explorer the galaxy as you get chased by numerous foes. I haven’t put in massive hours on this game, barely 3 hours but so far, I see why it is getting hyped up, it’s pretty good. I tested it on my i3 5th generation HP laptop that I use randomly and it worked just fine, no lag and the graphics are good enough because the highlight of this game is clearly the gameplay. Deep space battle simulator or dsbs as I hope it’s shortened to and called, is a fresh game from the time of this original post, the game is less than 24 hours young and it is already one of the top trending games on Steam and for a good reason, the game is fun and most of all, it’s a game that can actually work on most people’s’ PC’s these days, it doesn’t require a whole bunch of ram like most games, a standard 4GB DDR3 ram with a decent i3 processor with at least 2nd generation should work just fine. Today we will highlight some reasons why we think you should go ahead and give this game a go. If you were looking for a game that actually feels like you are in space, this game might be for you. It's a shame it's partly a bugged mess, otherwise this would easily be one of my favorite RTS games.Hello everyone, you can download Deep Space Battle Simulator for Ubuntu and play one of the most enjoyable space games out there. Last but not least there's 9th Company: Roots of Terror, which has a very similar degree of realism and level of detail. In both games it's for example possible to affect the damage the enemy inflicts by rotating your vehicle units or retreating behind buildings. Some parts of Company of Heroes also reminded me of it, namely the damage model of the units. Has a very similar vibe to it, including the realism, units and micro-management. The music by MoozE (the same guy who composed the OST for S.T.A.L.K.E.R SoC) for the first game is awesome though, a very underrated soundtrack which makes up for the rather boring gameplay.Īpart from that, Syrian Warfare also took many influences from the Sudden Strike games, namely the second game and its spin-offs. Most of the time it goes like take a bunch of infantry and tanks, go to A, B and C and destroy all enemies there. The missions are not halfway sophisticated and interesting as in Syrian Warfare. My beef with the games (at least with the first one which is available on Steam) is the mission design though. Gameplay is mostly identical, they even run on an earlier version of the same graphics engine. ![]() I would say Warfare and Warfare: Reloaded, since they are spiritual predecessors the same devs worked on.
